I received a new hitch cover for Christmas and I put it on today.

My free Mini FJ Cruiser (an Auto Art Models production) came in the mail today from Toyota along with the unpainted Bandi mount for my scanner antenna.

Purchased and installed Viper two way alarm system with option to pop the back window, remote start, Pioneer head unit with stereo, DVD player, TV, Blue tooth adapter for phone and MP3 player, auxiliary inputs for GPS/XM Radio, composite video inputs for video camera, and Backup Camera. I had a Uniden digital scanner installed as well with the Pioneer into the double DIN. Took the stereo shop two days (12/21 & 12/22) to get everything installed.

Convinced manager at the dealership that the Toyota VIP Alarm and Audiovox Remote Start were not working together as all alarms and remote starts should. They agreed to remove both the alarm and remote start from the FJ and refund my money.

Added logo for my photography hobby to the side of the FJ.

When I purchased the FJ, I had purchased a Toyota remote start system, but they weren’t able to get it installed before I picked it up. The dealer installed the new remote start system today and had the 1000 mile oil change (at about 950 miles). When I picked the FJ back up from the dealer tonight, I wasn’t satisfied with the remote start system they installed. Once the vehicle is started, the keyfob gets disabled, so you can’t unlock the doors with the remote, you have to use your key and once the vehicle is started via the remote start, it can’t be stopped with the remote start. This is the 4th vehicle I’ve had remote starts in, so I know they don’t know what they’re doing. Dealer said thats how they always do it and no one has complained before (only because those people don’t know the functionality of a real remote start). I showed them all the places in the manual they crossed out in black due to them disabling those features and told them I wanted it taken out. They’l have a manager call me.
